Salt Spring Island is accessed directly from Vancouver and the lower mainland by the BC Ferries Tsawwassen Ferry service. The Tsawwassen/Long Harbour ferry can take between 1.5 to 3 hours depending on scheduling.

Reservations are a must, and please check the schedule carefully, as sailings vary greatly between weekdays and weekends/holidays. If you would like an alternate, scenic route to Salt Spring Island, the Tsawwassen/Swartz Bay ferry (90-minute ride) also connects with the Swartz Bay/Fulford ferry (35-minute trip). You may purchase a through ticket to Salt Spring in Tsawwassen. The Swartz Bay/Fulford ferry is also very convenient to the Victoria Airport or the Sidney/Anacortes Ferry Terminal.

Driving Directions to Cranberry Ridge Cottage Suites at Cottage Resort from the Long Harbour Ferry

Once off the ferry, follow the signs to Ganges. Turn right at the stop sign and then make an immediate left as you follow the signs for the Vesuvius Bay Ferry. This will take you along a nice winding country road called Upper Ganges Road until you come to the second stop sign beside the local theatre. Across the street to the right is the fire hall. Cranberry Suites is 1 kilometre away at this point. Turn right at this corner and follow North End road past a little church on a knoll until you come to Suffolk Road on the left where the Cottage Resort sign is displayed. Turn left and follow the road down to Cranberry Ridge Cottage Suites at Cottage Resort.

Follow the signs to Ganges from the Fulford ferry. Proceed through Ganges on Lower Ganges Road. Follow signs for the Vesuvius Bay Ferry.. Continue past the Salt Spring Island Golf and Country Club until you come to the intersection with the soccer field-tennis courts on the left, the fire hall ahead and to the left and the movie theatre ahead on the right. Cranberry Ridge Cottage Suites is 1 kilometre away at this point. Continue straight through this intersection, which is where Lower Ganges Road turns into North End Road. Follow North End Road past a little church on a knoll until you come to Suffolk Road on the left where you will see the Cottage Resort sign. Turn left and follow the road down to Cranberry Ridge Cottage Suites at Cottage Resort.
